Disputes involving your home are emotionally draining and stressful. We aim to identify the issues at an early stage and provide comprehensive advice on the best way of proceeding, be it entering into correspondence, engaging in negotiations or issuing a claim.

Our team has a wealth of experience in dealing with all types of property disputes, including: neighbour disputes; boundary disputes; land registry claims; rights of way; enforcing and disputing restrictive covenants; adverse possession; and claims relating to the ownership of a property.

Recent work includes:

• Acting for a client in a promissory estoppel claim. The owner had bought the property along with our client, although retained it in his name. Following his death, his executors sought to evict our client from the property. We resolved the dispute in our client’s favour following mediation.
• Advising a client in a neighbour dispute with the owner of the flat above, who was also her landlord.
• Advising a client on a claim for a 50% beneficial interest in a property which she had purchased with her late husband.
• Succeeding at trial for a client in a neighbour dispute relating to an access way separating the respective properties. Issues included of adverse possession, trespass and rights of way.
